Carrollton
Bank
Whitemarsh, Maryland
|
This
tenant fit out of a 2,500 square foot branch bank was destined to
be different from the start. Our client wanted to respond to banking
trends, which emphasized the selling of services and customer interaction
through electronics previously not found in banking. From the moment
you arrive at the bank when you are greeted by a receptionist guiding
you to the appropriate personnel or training area you become aware
that this is not the typical banking experience. The thoroughly
modern interior highlights the warmth of wood and light while providing
a comfortably private environment for your sensitive transactions.

Kempthorn
Volvo / Jaguar Auto Showroom Canton, Ohio
|
The
design of this car dealership was an architectural challenge.
This 6,500 square foot showroom provides the appropriate neutral
architectural background to highlight the fine luxury cars being
sold. This design aspiration is similar to the way that a modern
art gallery seeks to disappear and allow the art being shown to
dazzle the viewer. Simultaneously the building's image is a memorable
icon for the dealer, emphasizing the sleek, modern lines of the
powerful lifestyle product being exhibited.

Institute
of Jaw and Facial Surgery
Canton, Ohio
|
This
building's 4,200 square feet accommodates the technical requirements
of maxillofacial surgery. The building by nature must also accommodate
patients' comfort during this delicate, invasive process. The interior
architecture calls upon the soothing qualities of nature, light
and color for the patient's comfort. The exterior of the building
is a quiet blend of modern architecture and familiar forms.

Lancaster
County Association of Realtors Lancaster, Pennsylvania
|
Lancaster
county vernacular forms were translated into modern architecture
for this 8,400 square foot office and training center. Classrooms
were designed to train up to 150 realtors. Interior architectural
design services were provided including furniture selection and
custom furniture design. The use of natural lighting in our design
enhances the connection of people with the outdoors while limiting
the effects of artificial lighting.

District
Firehouse No. 10
Canton, Ohio
|
Our
design for a two-bay, two-company drive-through firehouse includes
day room and dormitory accommodations. The pre-design analysis and
programming phase included shadowing a 24-hour shift with Company
No. 10. The city required a building that provided an efficient
use of space, including flexible equipment staging. The city also
mandated a contextually appropriate structure be designed with comfortable
living and work environments. The use of precast concrete floor
planks enabled the design team to integrate all utilities within
the floor assembly without the additional expense of exposed ductwork,
while exposing the structural construction. The resulting appearance
presents a finished space not typically found in a building of this
nature.
